Man shot to death during argument in South Dallas home, police say

A 34-year-old man was killed in a shooting during an argument in a home Tuesday night in South Dallas, police said.

The shooting was reported around 11:15 p.m. in the 4000 block of Penelope Street. Witnesses told police that several suspects were allowed inside the house and then an argument broke out.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was shot during the fight and died at the scene, police said.

The shooting occurred after a child in the home woke up another adult and alerted her, according to KTVT-TV (Channel 11). When she went to check on things, the suspects shot the victim and then at her, but missed, the station reported.

The suspects have not been identified and fled in an unknown vehicle, police said.
