Meera gushes over Mahira, thanks her for making Pakistan proud

It looks like things have turned around for good between actresses Mahira Khan and Meera as the two were recently seen singing praises for each other in an uplifting Twitter exchange.

While it is no secret that Meera has in the past passed negative remarks about Mahira, the ‘Raees’ startlet on the other hand, has always remained silent about this open confession of disapproval towards her.

However, in a recent turn of events, Meera has finally praised Mahira.

It all started when Mahira commended Meera for her role in the upcoming movie ‘Parey Hut Love’ in a tweet.

She wrote: “I just saw a little preview of one of the songs of #pareyhutlove and the song and everyone in it is fantastic… but man you can’t look away from Meera Jee!! Owns every frame!”

In response, Meera reciprocated the appreciation she received from Mahira.

“Thankyou @TheMahiraKhan for such a loving tweet. I will always cherish the love and respect you have given me. Also, thankyou for being who you are and making all of us proud in so many ways. May God bless you forever,” she said in a tweet on Friday.

Meera even complimented Mahira for her humanitarian efforts in September last year.

Speaking about the responsibilities that come with fame, Meera earlier tweeted, “One of the women I admire – Angelina Jolie – said that when someone has a lot of fame, they also have a responsibility to give back to society. Otherwise, the popularity is of no use.”

She added, “I applaud Mahira Khan and Aamina Sheikh for their initiatives and working with Afghan refugees. Especially children and more so, with girls.”

In the past Meera has often dissed Mahira and stated she is an over-rated acterss who doesn’t know how to act.
