Morning showers, but sunshine for the afternoon

Morning showers are moving through North Texas early this Monday. Much of the rain will be spotty and should move along rather quickly. It should be gone by midday. Nonetheless, allow some extra time on the roads this morning.

Sunshine will return this afternoon. It will be warm and windy with a high in the 70s. A strong south wind will be in place from 15-25 mph.

The rest of the week will be dominated by warm weather and additional rain chances. In fact, the chance of widespread rain goes back up late in the work-week and into the weekend. The pattern is looking quite unsettled into next week as well, meaning more rain and storm chances.
