Houston police are investigating the death of a 23-year-old man whose body was found in the middle of street in the Heights Sunday.
While homicide detectives have no solid leads on who may have shot the man to death in the 800 block East 32nd Street, several witnesses have come forward with information, said Lt. W.L. Meeler, with HPD’s Homicide Division.
Several citizens called in and said they heard gunshots,” Meeler said, adding the neighborhood is “tight-knit community.”
“It’s possible that there might have been other suspects out here,” he said.
The shooting took place in the middle of the street, Meeler said, and there is no indication that the body was moved or brought to this location.
Meeler said it’s possible “multiple shooters” may have been involved in the man’s death but did not provide other details.
He is asking the public to come forward with any information about the shooting.
