The Houston Police Department has released new surveillance videos showing a man who they believe to have caused a panic at Memorial City Mall Sunday.
Police have said the man is a person of interest in the incident, where a masked man jumped on a food court table, threatened to kill himself and threw an unknown object on the ground.
“We’re grateful that there were no serious injuries,” Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo said a news conference Wednesday afternoon. “Doing these things are going to be taken very seriously.”
In both videos, the man was wearing a green T-shirt, gray shorts, black high socks and white tennis shoes. He is followed by another man in a gray T-shirt, who police said they are looking to speak with, as well. Acevedo said police believe the two know each other.
