Nice finish to the weekend

A cold front moved through North Texas Saturday morning, producing heavy rain, lightning, and brief pea to dime-sized hail with wind gusts in excess of 40 mph.

As the front moves eastward, gusty northwest winds will diminish during the evening, leaving North Texas clear and rather chilly overnight. Sunday will be sunny and mild, but clouds will increase again by evening.

Widespread rain will develop Sunday night and overspread the area on Monday. There may even be a few embedded thunderstorms, but severe weather is not expected at this time. A half inch to an inch of rain is expected across DFW.
