No end in sight for the dangerous heat

Another hot day is expected Thursday across North Texas with excessive heat warnings and heat advisories covering much of our area. Temperatures will continue to climb into the 100s for the remainder of the week, with near-record high temperatures expected this weekend. Heat index values could be as high as 113.

Along with the intense heat, the fire danger will remain elevated, especially for areas along and west of I-35. Rain chances in the coming days will be slim to none.

We don’t see any relief in sight. The high heat is likely to continue through all of next week.
