Pak-USA 2nd Business Summit held in Dallas

Dallas: The 2nd Pak-USA Business Summit was held on  at a local hotel in Dallas.  This event was organized by Dallas based PABP (Pak-USA Business Forum) and RCCI (Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industries), in association and patronage of FPCCI (Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries ).
The event was attended by a large number of business delegates from both countries and was held in two sessions during the day.  The morning session included welcome speech by president of PABP Waqar Khan, and featured speeches by President of RCCI Shahid Saleem, and it’s Vice President Fayyaz Qureshi.  Chairman of Regional Trade Committee of RCCI Mr. Khursheed Barlas and Director PWTC Mr. Fahad Barlas also addressed the audience and shared valuable information about their organization’s efforts to expand their presence in international markets.
The Chairman of North Texas Commission Mr. Chris Wallace spoke to the audience about expanding needs of the local market and the opportunities it provides to investors.  He was followed by CEO of Falcon Holdings Mr. Aslam Khan who spoke about the ease of doing business in North Texas, and how PABF plans to help the investors from Pakistan to increase their presence in the local market.
The Mayor of Richardson Paul Voelker welcomed the delegation from Pakistan and shared the resources and amenities available to those who want to bring their business to Richardson.  The Chief Guest, Mr. SM Muneer spoke about the need of such events with more frequency in the future, and invited the US hosts to visit Karachi to explore business opportunities.  He added that he has full confidence in the current government’s will and ability to provide a favorable business atmosphere to the foreign investors.
The spokesperson of PABF Mr. Nadeem Zaman told reporters that this event was the follow up to the first such event held last year in Islamabad.  He added that more such events will be held in the near future in additional cities besides Dallas.  He thanked the outgoing president Mr. Waqar Khan, and Charman Mr, Hafeez Khan for their services and congratulated Mr. Riaz Hussain becoming president-elect of PABF.  Nadeem Zaman thanked the guests and congratulated Mr. Zahid Akhtar Khanzada for receiving award for his services to the community.  He also congratulated all the other winners of the Plaque of Appreciation from PABF.
