Pakistan is reviewing Syria s situation, Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal said Saturday.
In a statement issued on Saturday, he urged all stakeholders to refrain from actions inconsistent with the UN Charter. “All parties should follow the United Nation’s PCW agreements,” he added.
Dr Faisal said that investigation must be carried out into the chemical attacks in Syria.
The spokesman further expressed deep sympathy with the people of Syria.
He hoped that all stakeholders would resolve the issue soon.
The spokesperson said Pakistan condemns the use of chemical weapons anywhere by anyone.
“It is important to establish facts through urgent and transparent investigations by the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons,” he said.
