Palestinian Arab & Muslim community show the love and solidarity with African American

Arlington: Palestinian and Arab Muslim community, in conjunction with the leaders of the African American community, held a press conference in Arlington. The participants were holding homemade signs to show the love and solidarity with the friends, families, and communities of George Floyd, and every African American who has been murdered by law enforcement. They said “we stand in love and solidarity with every Black person who has experienced an altercation with police that occurred because of a system and culture entrenched in anti-Blackness.”

They said “We stand in love and solidarity with every Black person who was ever excluded, ignored, or made to feel unequal” and they also support Muslim organizations, masjids, and Islamic schools. We all stand in love and solidarity with Black movements. They also  mentioned the martyr Iyad, Al Hallaq by focusing on the importance of stopping American police training at the hands of the Israeli army.

They said these African-American leaders have stood with us and have demonstrated with us going against Trump’s ominous decision when he moved the American embassy to Jerusalem and declared it the capital of Israel.

They Also supported us when we held the Fort Worth Rally in support of Kashmir.

They said “Our faith has always taught us to be persistent against injustice and stand for oppressed people.”

They said in the press conference, “We reignited long-running grievances over deep-seated racism within the US authorities, specifically police brutality against the black community.”
