Police searching for two vehicles linked to Cleveland shooting that left teenager dead

Cleveland Police are asking for the public’s help locating two vehicles believed to be involved in a shooting that left a 17-year-old teenage boy dead Wednesday.

The shooting was reported around 2:15 p.m. at the H-E-B gas station located at Truly Plaza in Cleveland, according to Cleveland Police Captain Scott Felts.

According to Felts, a 17-year-old Hispanic male was shot next to the gas station. He was found by Emergency Medical Service crews collapsed next to the neighboring Hartz Chicken restaurant and was taken to a local hospital where he later died, Felts said.

After reviewing surveillance video, Felts said police have identified two vehicles believed to be involved in the shooting. Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a red dodge Dakota truck and a “white, painters-type van,” Felts said.

Felts said video footage shows the two vehicles drove south of the H-E-B after the shooting. Anyone with information on the vehicles is asked to contact Cleveland PD at 281-592-2622.

Felts said a motive for the shooting is still not known and the investigation is ongoing.
