Police: Thief steals credit card from cemetery, uses it hours later

Just hours after he stole a credit card from a parked car at a cemetery, a man used the card to purchase several items at a north Houston store, police said.

Houston police have not identified the man in surveillance footage making the purchase at a store located in the 400 block of West Little York Road on Saturday, July 27 and are asking the public for assistance

The credit card used by the man was stolen hours earlier from a visitor’s parked car at a cemetery, police said.

The suspect was seen leaving the store in a silver Chevrolet Malibu that had rear passenger side damage.

Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department are asking the public for help in identifying the suspect in the surveillance footage.

Crime Stoppers may pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and/or arrest of the suspect in this case. Information may be reported by calling 713-222-TIPS (8477), submitted online at www.crime-stoppers.org or through the Crime Stoppers mobile app. All tipsters remain anonymous.
