Quiet in North Texas, but active in the tropics

Sunday was another sunny and warm day with light winds and highs in the mid 90s. Expect more of the same Monday and Tuesday, but with a gradual increase in humidity.

An Air Quality Alert remains in effect through at least Monday due to potentially high levels of ozone and other pollutants. Those with respiratory issues should limit their time outside.

The tropics have become active and the Louisiana and Texas coasts will have to deal with Hurricane Marco on Monday and Hurricane Laura by the middle of the week. North Texas may have an opportunity for a few showers from the remnants of those storms on Wednesday and Thursday. But it appears that most of the rain will stay south and east of Dallas-Fort Worth.
