(Web Desk) – The smartphone giant Samsung mobile will unveil its flagship handset Galaxy S9 in February at the Mobile World Congress.
The unveiling of Samsung Galaxy S9 will take place on any day from February 26 to March 1, as announced by Samsung mobile chief DJ Koh. The announcement was made by him at CES.
According to rumours, there will be two models of the flagship phone, Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus. The earlier models, S8 and S8 Plus, were welcomed happily by the users and critics after the disastrous Galaxy Note 7 with exploding batteries.
Talking to the tech-related media, Samsung mobile’s chief had hinted that his company is likely to launch a foldable phone in 2018.
Earlier reports had claimed that Samsung will launch three models of the Galaxy S9, including S9, S9+ alongside a special mini edition named Galaxy S9 Mini. It is predicted that the standard Galaxy S9 may feature only one rear camera, while the expensive S9 will offer dual camera, like Apple iPhones.
It is likely to have a headphone jack, and various memory configurations. These include DDR and Flash Combinations 4 + 64 & 4 + 128 for S9 and DDR and Flash Combinations 6 + 64 & 6 + 128 & 6 + 256 for S9+, according to GSMArena.
The Samsung’s latest flagship phone is expected to have extremely narrow bezel and even more powerful processor. The price may be between USD 950 to 1050.
