HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Temperatures in Houston hit 90 degrees again Monday, and we should see similar temperatures Tuesday before a cool front pushes through.
Scattered storms are possible during the afternoon and evening hours Tuesday. A couple of the storms could become severe with wind and hail the main threats. The rain should be gone by Wednesday morning
Don’t expect a big cool down behind the front. It’ll be more of a “get the temperature back to average” front. Average lows are now in the mid 60s with average highs in the low 80s.
A second front is slated to arrive ahead of Mother’s Day, Friday night or Saturday morning. This front looks a bit stronger than the mid-week front, and should knock high temps down to around 80 degrees for Mother’s Day and drop the humidity. That front could give us a better chance for rain and thunderstorms Friday.
