Shooting injuries 2 in northwest Harris County

Officials are looking for the gunmen in a shooting injured two people early Saturday in northwest Harris County.

Harris County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of the shooting shortly after 5 a.m. near Beltway 8 and State Highway 290.

The injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, a lieutenant with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said. One man was shot three times, the lieutenant said, while the other had a single gunshot wound.

One of the men had been changing the head light of a parked car, while the other was standing nearby, officials said.

Sheriff’s deputies had not identified witnesses and did not have any suspect information early Saturday morning, though officials were gathering statements from two people who were in the area but who said they did not witness the shooting.

The men who were shot did not immediately provide information about the incident, the lieutenant said.
