KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – APP – 26th Apr, 2019 ) :Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT), as a part of its policy to augment and enhance areas of medical facilities by providing free treatment with dignity and compassion in the remote parts of Sindh, has established a new “operation theater complex” at its Chhablani Medical Centre of Sukkur.
The opening ceremony of state-of-the-art operation theater which is a full-fledged equipped facility would be held on Saturday. The theater complex is being set up to meet all the needs of surgical activities including transplant.
The establishment of this new complex is a generous philanthropic donation by Feroza Hashem Trust who are known for extending such philanthropic activities in the past also.
SIUT Chhablani Centre Sukkur was established in 2009 as a part of phased program. The 50-bedded Centre admitted over 3 thousand patients in the previous year and attended to 34 thousand patients at its out patient’s department in the sameperiod.
Patients treated were from the fields of urology, nephrology, pediatrics and hepato-gastroenterology. Significant number of minor and major surgeries were also performed. The centre also provides dialysis, pathology and radiology facilities
