Very warm for the holiday weekend

There will be a slight drop in humidity over the next couple of days, but the heat will increase along with some afternoon and evening spotty storm chances. High temperatures will be in the mid to upper 90s over the Fourth of July weekend with a heat index of 100-103 during the afternoons.

Isolated to scattered storms will be possible through the holiday weekend, but it won’t be a washout. If you have outdoor plans, make sure you have a place to seek shelter briefly and stay weather aware. The strongest storms could have brief downpours, gusty winds and frequent lightning. Storms that develop should dissipate after sunset each day.
