West University Place Police Department weekly report

Oct. 4

  At 9:40 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the 6000 block of Chimney Rock in order to obtain custody of a subject (Lakwanza Wright) who had been arrested with West University Place Police Department warrants. Upon arrival, the wanted subject was taken into custody and then transported back to the West University Place Police Department without incident

  At 1:25 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 6000 block of Annapolis, to speak with a complainant who stated that their home had been burglarized between the hours of 0945-1325. A report for burglary of a habitation was generated.

Oct. 5

  At 10:30 a.m., an officer was dispatched to 5110 Jessamine (City of Bellaire Police Department) to pick up an individual (Joseph Durrell Murray Jr), who had four outstanding warrants with the City of West University Place Police Department. The individual was placed in custody and was transported to the West University Place jail, without incident

Oct. 6

 At 8:03 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 700 block of San Jacinto to take custody of a subject (Jose Antonio Capellan) with several warrants out of the City Of West University Place Police Department. The subject was transported and booked without incident.

Oct. 8

 At 9:01 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 2900 block of Wroxton in regard to a domestic disturbance. After further investigation it was discovered that a verbal disagreement took place between ex- son in law and ex- mother in law, an informational report was generated.

Oct. 9

  At 3:05 p.m., an officer was dispatched to a residence located in the 6200 block of Community, in regard to a possible burglary of a habitation. Upon arrival, it was discovered that an unknown person/s forced entry into the home and had stolen several items from within. A report for burglary of a habitation was generated. Oct. 10

  At 9:53 p.m., an officer initiated a traffic stop in the 6400 block of Buffalo Speedway for a defective tailight and a defective license plate light. The Officer made contact with the driver (Joseph Roy Hargrove) and during the course of the investigation, the driver fled the scene in the motor vehicle. Officers responded and a vehicle pursuit ensued where it ended in the 3700 block of Hilcroft. The driver was subsequently placed in custody for felony evading in a motor vehicle. The driver also had two outstanding felony warrants with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
