Wet start to the week

High clouds increased during the day on Sunday, but not before the temperature climbed to 70 degrees or higher in most of the area.

Widespread rain will develop and overspread the area on Monday. There will likely be a few embedded thunderstorms. A few stronger thunderstorms may develop, but mainly east of Dallas.

Half of an inch to an inch of rain is expected across Dallas-Fort Worth. Rain chances will end from west to east Monday night.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be dry with plenty of sunshine and highs back in the 70s.
