Where to get tested for COVID-19 for FREE in Houston area

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — If you want to be tested for COVID-19, you’ll want to plan on when and where to go.

There are free testing locations around the Houston area, each with different requirements.

Minute Maid Park- Lot C
501 Crawford St

The site will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday through Tuesday and noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
You can expect test results within four days.

Crump Stadium

Houston Community College NE Campus

Houston Community College South Campus

You need an appointment to be tested. You can book an appointment at texas.curativeinc.com.

Harris County

Appointments are required at all Harris County Public Health locations. You can call 832-927-7575 or visit the Harris County Public Health website for an appointment.
Harris County expects to perform 1,250 tests per day. Results come back in three to five business days.

Amigos Por Vida Public Charter School

Site opens Monday and Tuesday. Appointments are required, you can book one at txcovidtest.org

Merfish Teen Center- Walk-up

Both locations are high-volume surge testing sites and are open Monday – Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
On-site registration is available, but online registration at the Do I Need a COVID Test website may be faster.

Delmar Stadium

The stadium sites are open Monday through Saturday 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. An ID code is required to be tested at Delmar Stadium. You can get a code by calling 832-393-4220.
You do not need to have symptoms to be tested.

The sites don’t require appointments and offer testing from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. or until reaching daily capacity of 250 tests.
