18-year-old woman dies in shooting in Houston’s East End

A fatal shooting left an 18-year-old woman dead early Saturday in Houston’s greater East End, police said.

Houston police said the incident took place around 3:30 a.m. outside a nightclub on the 4300 block of Telephone Road. Officials said the woman had attended an event at the club and was sitting in a friend’s car in the parking lot when a vehicle pulled up behind and a suspect fired multiple shots into the car before fleeing

The victim, identified Saturday as Camryn Clements of Deer Park, died at the scene, said John Cannon, a spokesman for the Houston Police Department.

Witnesses gave varying reports of the suspect and vehicle description, and investigators are now looking for any surveillance footage of the scene.
