U.S. 75 to close briefly Wednesday night as crews restore power to storm-affected residents

Central Expressway will be temporarily shut down Wednesday night between Royal and Forest lanes in Dallas to allow Oncor crews to finish restoring power knocked out by Sunday’s storm.

The shutdown will start at 10 p.m., the city announced, and will last about 30 minutes.

The closure will affect the main lanes of both northbound and southbound U.S. 75, as well as the northbound service lanes as crews work to remove debris obstructing the area.

Residents in parts of the impacted storm area have been without power since Sunday’s storm. As of Wednesday, power had been restored to about 140,000 customers after outages peaked at more than 150,000.
