NBC 5 Forecast: Cold front brings more rain chances

After a couple of dry and mostly sunny days, a cold front will move across North Texas today with showers and thunderstorms. A few strong storms will be possible with small hail and gusty winds. The wet weather will be in place this afternoon and evening and could last through much of Friday as well. Rain amounts through Friday could be 2-3 inches.

Temperatures will take a dive as well with chilly air pushing in late tonight. Friday’s high will only be in the 50s. Pleasant weather is on tap for the weekend with a return to dry weather and a gradual warming trend. Highs will be in the 60s on Saturday and back in the 70s on Sunday.
