Hurst stabbing leaves 2 young men wounded

A stabbing Thursday afternoon in Hurst put two young men in the hospital, police said.

The incident took place in an apartment at the Arbor Park complex in the 500 block of Brown Trail. Hurst officers were called about 2:45 p.m. after a stabbing was reported.

Police described the two victims as males in their late teens to early 20s. One fled the apartment and ended up in a park next to nearby Bellaire Elementary School where bystanders helped him. Police found the other victim just outside the apartment.

Medics took both men to hospitals. Their conditions were unknown but police said they were expected to survive.

The elementary school conducted a supervised release for the safety of the students and staff, police said.
