Police identify body found in pond behind Amazon warehouse in Oak Cliff

A man whose body was found in August near an Amazon fulfillment center in southeast Oak Cliff has been identified, and Dallas police said Friday they’re investigating his death as a homicide.

Jeremy Trevon Tinsley, 27, was found Aug. 1 in a pond behind the warehouse in the 6700 block of J.J. Lemmon Road. Police suspect he was slain and his body left there.

The body was severely decomposed when he was pulled from the pond, police said.

His family held a celebration of life service for him in mid-August.
