Woman dies in hospital weeks after violent attack, Dallas police say

Dallas police are working to find whoever is responsible for a “violent attack” earlier this month that led to a woman’s death.

Officers had been responding to an unrelated call about 3:30 a.m. Nov. 1 when they found 39-year-old Charity Crim suffering from serious injuries near the 5500 block of Maple Avenue, close to Inwood Road in the Love Field area.

She was taken to a local hospital, where she stayed for more than two weeks before she died Saturday, police said.

Police records show Crim has a Carrollton address.

Anyone with information about the attack may contact Dallas Police Detective David Gilmore at 214-671-3608 or at david.gilmore@dallascityhall.com and refer to case 220857-2019.
