Robbers get away after shooting man in far northeast Dallas

A man was shot in far northeast Dallas after being accosted by two robbers Friday night, police said.

Officers were called about 10 p.m. to the 10000 block of Walnut Street, where they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The victim told police that two men had approached him and demanded his property, and that he was shot during the brief struggle that ensued.

The suspects fled, and no description was available.
