Light rain returns as the weekend approaches

After a cold morning, temperatures climbed to near 60 by afternoon. High clouds will increase during the evening and overnight, leading to rain chances as we head towards the weekend.

Friday will be a chilly day with thick clouds and a few light showers, especially late in the day and into Friday night. Some light rain or drizzle is likely to linger into Saturday morning. Sunday looks to be dry and milder.

Good travel weather is on tap early next week before Christmas. Highs will be 5-10 degrees above normal all the way through Christmas Day. There may be some showers returning late next week, after Christmas.
