Missing 12-year-old hospitalized after Denton County hit-and-run

A 23-year-old man has reportedly been arrested after one of two special-needs children reported missing in Denton County was injured in a hit-and-run Wednesday evening.

Officers had been called to a subdivision in Krum by family members seeking help finding the missing children, WFAA-TV (Channel 8) reported.

While speaking with the family, officers received a call regarding a hit-and-run accident in the area, the news station said.

Responding officers found that one of the missing kids, aged 12, had been hit by a vehicle that did not remain at the scene.
