Haltom City police search for suspect they say pistol-whipped a Dollar General clerk

Haltom City police are searching for a man who they say pistol-whipped and robbed a clerk at a Dollar General on Jan. 16.

It happened at a store in the 4900 block of Western Center Boulevard.

Police lobbed a few acerbic barbs toward the suspect in a Facebook post, describing him as having an “embarrassing attempt at a mustache.”

The suspect was wearing sunglasses, gloves and a hoodie at the time of the robbery, police said.

“The unibomber here wore sunglasses, gloves and a hood to try to keep our sharp-eyed citizens from identifying him, but there’s no hiding that embarrassing attempt at a mustache,” Haltom City police wrote on Facebook.

Police have issued a warrant and said the suspect will face aggravated robbery charges.

The clerk was being “absolutely compliant” at the time the suspect started assaulting him, police said.
