Chilly with increasing rain chances

Clouds will remain locked in place over much of North Texas again today with chilly temperatures. Highs won’t make it out of the 40s. Rain chances return this afternoon and evening, but there will be several dry hours. A few sleet pellets mixing in with rain will be possible, but this will not cause any travel issues as the ground is too warm for anything to stick or freeze.

Sunshine will begin to return Friday with a slight warm up.

A greater warm up will take place this weekend with highs in the 60s and 70s. Mild weather will last into early next week before the next cold front arrives Tuesday.
