1 wounded in South Dallas shooting, police say

Police are searching for someone who shot a person in the elbow Monday evening in South Dallas.

Officers were called just before 6 p.m. to the 2700 block of Valentine Street, near William Blair Jr. Park.

The male victim was taken to Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas in good condition, police said.

The shooter fled the scene in a gray Dodge truck, police said. A detailed suspect description was not immediately provided by authorities.
