2 men found shot to death in South Dallas, Old East Dallas, police say

Dallas police are investigating the unrelated fatal shootings of two men overnight.

Police found a 40-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds lying on the sidewalk around 11:25 p.m. Thursday in the 2900 block of Peabody Avenue near Malcolm X Boulevard in South Dallas.

The man, who was identified as Zachary Tores, was taken to an area hospital where he died shortly after he arrived, police said.

The second man was found around 12:23 a.m. Friday on a sidewalk at the intersection of North Fitzhugh Avenue and Live Oak Street in Old East Dallas.

The man was taken to an area hospital where he died of his injuries, police said. He was identified as 48-year-old Tony Duncan.

No information about suspects in either shooting was available. No arrests have been made.
