Tornado watch for Collin, Rockwall counties allowed to expire

A tornado watch issued by the National Weather Service for Collin and Rockwall counties has been allowed to expire early. The watch was originally in effect until 10 p.m.

A tornado watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes to develop. It does not mean tornadoes have been spotted in the area. The watch does not include Dallas, Denton or Tarrant counties.

Yet another round of thunderstorms moved through Dallas-Fort Worth, starting in the afternoon and lingering through the evening.
