Morning showers, then midday clearing

A weak cold front is moving through North Texas this morning, producing scattered showers and thunderstorms along it. A few strong storms capable of hail and gusty winds will be possible through the morning. The front will quickly move east by late morning, taking any showers with it. The rest of Saturday will be breezy but dry with increasing sunshine, less humidity and highs in the mid 70 to upper 70s. Sunday will be dry with similar temperatures.

The next chance rain for widespread rain arrives on Monday. There may even be a few embedded thunderstorms, but severe weather is not expected at this time. Locally heavy rain may also cause flash flooding.

Dry weather will return Tuesday through Thursday of next week.
