Pleasant afternoon after a cold start

It’s a cold start to the morning with temperatures below freezing in areas north and west of the DFW area. A Frost Advisory remains in effect primarily in those areas through 9 AM. Temperatures will moderate this afternoon with abundant sunshine and highs in the 60s.

By Thursday, temperatures will be back in the 70s, followed by another shot of unseasonably cool air with the arrival of a cold front Friday. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible, with the highest chance east of DFW. No severe weather is expected.

The next chance of widespread showers and storms will be Saturday through Sunday morning.
