Warm and windy today, storm chances on horizon

The new work-week will begin with warm and windy weather under partly sunny skies today. Rain chances will remain very low, but a stray shower or thunderstorm cannot be completely ruled out, mainly to the west of DFW.

The next significant round of thunderstorms appears to be on the horizon for Tuesday night. These will be along a cold front dropping out of Oklahoma. Some of these storms could be severe with damaging winds and hail being the primary concern. At this time, the tornado risk appears low.

The rest of the week will be mostly sunny and dry with comfortable mornings and highs in the 80s. We could reach the 90s by Friday and Saturday.
