Forney man dies in single-vehicle crash in Mesquite

A 49-year-old Forney man died in a crash Saturday night in Mesquite, authorities say.

Officers were called about 11:40 p.m. to the crash on U.S. Highway 80, where Rickey Stance was going east in a Ford pickup when he left the road and struck a bridge support under Town East Boulevard, police said.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

A Mesquite police spokesman said he did not have details about what led to the crash.
