Storm chances continue all week

Although the day started sunny, with temperatures climbing to 90 by 1 pm, that changed in a hurry as storms developed Sunday afternoon. The rain dropped temperatures quickly into the low 70s by 4 pm. And those storms also dropped some large hail – up to golf ball size on the north side of Denton.

More severe storms will develop in west Texas through the evening. They will drift eastward into North Texas overnight, though they should diminish in intensity before they arrive here.

Our weather pattern will remain unsettled with multiple rounds of showers and storms through the week. The highest chance will be Tuesday, with heavy rain and flooding being the main threats.
