Hot end to the weekend

Hot and muggy weather will continue today with highs in the upper 90s and heat index values up to 103 degrees. Stay hydrated and stay cool. Another Ozone Action Day has been issued for DFW and surrounding areas, indicating that the air quality may be unhealthy for sensitive groups. Be sure to limit your time outdoor time if you have any respiratory problems.

Tropical Storm Cristobal is expected to make landfall along the Gulf coast on Sunday. The impacts from this storm will stay well to the east of North Texas, with over 5 inches of rain in Louisiana, but none for DFW.

Tuesday will be a scorcher with temperatures reaching into the triple digits and heat index values up to 110 degrees.
