Heat and humidity increasing

It has been a very warm weekend, but with humidity remaining low, we haven’t had to deal with the heat index. But as the week progresses, the humidity will increase along with the temperature so it will definitely become more uncomfortable during the afternoons.

If you will be spending time outside, the best times will be early mornings and evenings. If you are out in the heat of the day, make sure you stay hydrated.

An Air Quality Alert remains in effect for Dallas-Fort Worth and the surrounding area through at least Monday. Hot temperatures, light winds and abundant sunshine will promote the development of ozone, which is a major pollutant in the lower atmosphere. People with respiratory issues should limit their time spent outside.

We will have to wait at least a week before rain chances return to North Texas.
