Summer-like temps through the weekend

Another summer-like day ahead for North Texas with breezy south winds and highs in the low 90s. Afternoon highs will remain in the low to mid 90s through the weekend. There will be some showers and storms across Northwest Texas both Thursday night and Friday evening, but those storms will likely dissipate before entering North Texas.

The jet stream pattern will shift by Sunday, opening up the possibility of spotty to scattered storms Sunday into early next week. So far DFW has only had a trace of rainfall in June. In 122 years, there have only been two years where there was only a trace of rain for the entire month of June.
