Here’s why you’ll want to limit your time outside the next several days

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Dangerous heat will again be possible Friday. High temperatures are expected to rise up to close to 100 degrees, but it will feel like we are closer to 109 degrees. The heat ridge responsible for the heat isn’t moving anytime soon so we expect the temperature to rise to or slightly above 100 right through the weekend. The Heat Advisory has been extended through at least 7 p.m. Saturday.

By early next week, rain chances will rise as a rare August cool front moves through. Scattered storms are possible beginning Sunday afternoon as the front gets close. Strong wind gusts will be a possibility with those storms. It now looks like the front will move through the area and into the Gulf. That’ll drop our humidity levels and temps a little late next week.
