Police hope to ID car that seriously injured teen pedestrian in Pleasant Grove

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a vehicle they say fatally injured a 16-year-old pedestrian in Pleasant Grove before fleeing the scene last week.

The incident took place about 9:25 p.m. on August 21 in the 10100 block of Lake June Road near Masters Drive, where police say a white sedan headed eastbound struck the victim, who was crossing the thoroughfare.

The victim suffered serious injury as a result.

The vehicle fled the scene, cutting through the parking lot of a Walgreens store at the site to turn south on Masters.

Police say the vehicle could have damage to the front driver’s side and mirror.
