Man fatally shot in front of Westin Galleria in Far North Dallas, police say

A man was fatally shot in front of the Westin Galleria Dallas early Sunday, police said.

Officers were called to the Far North Dallas hotel about 2:45 a.m. and found the wounded man in the parking lot. The man, whose name was not released, died at a nearby hospital police said.

Witnesses told police that a group of men in a dark-colored car had shot into another vehicle in front of the hotel and that both cars had fled.

Police said no suspects were in custody. They did not prove details about the shooting or explain whether the man who was shot had a connection to anyone in either vehicle.
