October is heating up in North Texas

Wednesday’s forecast will feature sunny skies, light south winds and unseasonably warm temperatures. The light winds and sunshine will enhance ozone concentrations in the DFW area today, resulting in another Ozone Action Day. Those with respiratory issues may want to limit time outdoors. Very warm weather is on the way over the next few days. Highs will be in the middle to upper 80s.

It will be even warmer over the weekend with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 on Saturday. Sunday will be the warmest day of the weekend with highs in the low 90s. Rain chances will be absent the next several days. A cold front late next week will bring temperatures back down. Until then, the air-conditioner will be running.

Our active Hurricane Season continues. Hurricane Delta has strengthened and poses a serious threat to Cancun, Mexico over the next 24 hours. By Friday, it will move up toward the Louisiana coast, possibly as a category two storm.
