Warm and humid end to the week

Friday will feature more clouds and humidity as Hurricane Delta moves north through the Gulf of Mexico. Hurricane Delta is a major hurricane that will make landfall along the Louisiana coast later today. While North Texas won’t feel any major effects from the storm, increased cloud cover will help keep our high temperatures down in the lower 80s. There may even be a couple of showers, but the higher rain chances will be in East and Southeast Texas.

Our weekend will be dry and very warm to hot. As Delta weakens and moves away, sunshine will return, boosting temperatures into the upper 80s Saturday. Sunday will be a hot, breezy day with highs in the mid 90s.

A cold front will move through North Texas Monday morning. No rain is expected, but there will be a nice drop in temperatures with the front. Much of next week looks more comfortable compared to the expected heat this weekend.
