Pair arrested in fatal shooting of 20-year-old in Grand Prairie

Two men have been arrested in the July slaying of a 20-year-old man in Grand Prairie.

Mikeal Jackson, 20, of Dallas was arrested Thursday and Keinoen Shamur Mondy, 19, of Dallas was taken into custody Aug. 4 in connection with the fatal shooting of William Oliver, police announced Friday.

Each man faces a charge of capital murder.

Oliver, a Grand Prairie resident, was shot the night of July 23 in the 5800 block of Candlelight Lane, police said. He was taken to Methodist Mansfield Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Jackson was being held at the Grand Prairie jail Friday, and information about his bail was not available. Mondy was in the Tarrant County jail, with bail set at $250,000.
