Strong cold front on the way

After a warm Thursday, a strong cold front will move through North Texas today, bringing gusty north winds, a chance of showers, and falling temperatures during the day. It will be near 70 at daybreak, but don’t be fooled. Temperatures will drop to the mid 50s by lunchtime. Following the front, overnight lows will dip into the 30s and 40s.

The weekend will be dry, with cool weather on Saturday and a brief return to warmer weather on Sunday.

Another strong cold front will move into North Texas late Sunday into Monday. This front will usher in the coldest air so far this season with lows dropping into the 40s and highs only in the 50s. It will also bring the best chance for rain we have seen this month. Rain will begin on Monday, with off and on showers expected to continue Tuesday and Wednesday.
